   Billy Cobham live – very alive, in fact – and jamming like the "muther" promised in the title! The set's filled with heavy drums from Cobham, set in a group that also features fusion heavyweights Alphonso Johnson on bass, Steve Khan on guitar, Tom Scott on tenor and soprano sax, and Mark Soskin on keyboards – all working in ways that are more strongly in the funky jazz side of the fusion.

   Billy Cobham, Alphonso Johnson, Steve Khan, Tom Scott, and Mark Soskin knocked this one out of the park. They blend their sounds beautifully, and their solos are top notch. Again, this is one of the finest live jaza albums you will EVER hear!/5(21).
